Environmental Stewardship Schemes were first launched in 2005 to encourage farmers to deliver effective environmental management
on their land through funding run by DEFRA.
There are two main categories to the scheme - the Entry Level Stewardship (ELS)
and Higher Level Stewardship (HLS) with the addition in 2010 of the Upland Entry Level Stewardship (UELS).
- I am able to provide practical advice and knowledge on the entry and higher level stewardship schemes that best suit your farming plans.
- I can assess your holding and put together a suite of ELS and HLS options to optimise income,
to meet Natural England’s agreement and to suit your management plans.
- I can advise on the application process as well as the options that should be chosen to secure an agreement.
- I can also complete and submit the ELS or HLS application for you.
